In the Name of God Amen I Mary Owen Widow and Shop-keeper
in Charleston South Carolina being of sound and perfect mind and memory and understanding but very much indisposed and weak in body do make publish and declare this to be my last will and testament in manner and form following (to wit) First of all I will that my debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon as possible and that my funeral be decent without pomp and extravagance committing my body to the grave in hopes through the merits of an all Glorious Redeemer of a glorious resurrection Item I give and bequeath unto my beloved nephew Thomas Corker his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns forever, all my real and personal estate, for him to dispose of at his discretion and as he shall think proper amongst relations. Lastly I do nominate and appoint my said nephew Thomas Corker sole executor of this my last will and testament revoking all other will or wills and testaments by me at any time made heretofore ratifying confirming declaring acknowledging and pronouncing this and no other to be and contain my last will and testament In Witness whereof I to this my said last will and testament have set my hand and seal this twelfth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty nine and in the twenty third year of his Majesty's reign in presence of the subscribers whom I have requested to sign their names as witnesses hereunto John Stone, Susanna Stone, John Stone junior
